A major part of Julia's success as a language has come from a large community of user advocates. User advocacy continues to be one of the most effective outreach mechanisms and this talk aims to help improve the approach of those seeking to advocate for Julia.
This talk will share the lessons learned after speaking, posting, and presenting about Julia over the last 2+ years. It doesn't matter if you are an expert user or a novice, these principles will allow you to effectively highlight the benefits of Julia in a way that is conducive to the audience being receptive to Julia.
We will cover:
- How to frame Julia as a language
- Sharing use cases
- What to avoid
- Getting people involved
And more!
