DESCRIPTION:Effective partitioning is important for the scalability of agen
 t-based modeling (ABM) on HPC systems\, but existing methods do not meet t
 he specific challenges of complex ABMs. These usually involve heterogeneou
 s agent types with phase-based execution\, dynamic population changes\, an
 d moving agents. This talk presents ongoing research developing specialize
 d partitioning algorithms for distributed ABMs\, including a benchmark fra
 mework and the development of specialized Julia packages.
