DESCRIPTION:A triangular shell finite element formulation is implemented in
  for use with the popular open-source finite element software package Ferr
 ite.jl.  Both elastic and geometric stiffness matrices are available\, all
 owing for the calculation of elastic deformations\, stresses\, and bucklin
 g in thin-walled structures. The shell element formulation utilizes linear
  shape functions to interpolate for membrane deformations\, and considers 
 additional quadratic shape functions to predict bending deformation while 
 avoiding shear locking. The triangular shell element is shown to perform a
 ccurately when compared to Abaqus shell element and analytical solutions i
 n a series of thin and thick plate examples which consider elastic deforma
 tion and elastic buckling.
