Feminist AI: A Regional Snapshot

This session will build on the current work from the <A+> Alliance for inclusive algorithms and its partners across regions, updating on the current developments on innovation, policy, and pilots in Asia, Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean, Africa, the Andean Region and MENA.

This is a networking session from the "AI IRL Hackathon - Building Trustworthy AI". Register here to attend: http://mzl.la/taihackathon

What is the goal and/or outcome of your session?:

Showing participants the current developments of Feminist AI across different regions in the global south. Exchange experience. Build resilient global networks.

We're hoping that many efforts and discussions will continue after Mozfest. Share any ideas you already have for how to continue the work from your session.:

We already have a network of experts that we are growing and after the discussion, we will encourage people to enrol: https://aplusalliance.org/en/members

How will you deal with varying numbers of participants in your session?:

We will have a global tour, 5 minutes in each region and then swap. So everyone learns what is happening in different regions.
