In this session you will learn about 3D modelling and 3D printing. You will have the opportunity to use an online tool, Tinkercad, to create 3D models that can be 3D printed. You will learn about a range of tools and create a 3D creature.
In this session I would like children to gain an understanding of what 3D printing is and how simple it can be to design in 3D.
We're hoping that many efforts and discussions will continue after Mozfest. Share any ideas you already have for how to continue the work from your session.:I hope after the session it will encourage children to continue explore what you can do with 3D modelling.
How will you deal with varying numbers of participants in your session?:I'm confident I'll be able to teach the session to about 15 to 20 children. I'm a teacher so this number of students is not a problem for me. If there are less students it will just allow me to have more one-to-one time with them.
