We're hoping that we will spark discussions about neurodiversity both in-person and online. It will do this in at least two areas.
1) It will speak to neurodiverse people and help inspire them to recognise their talents, develop aspirations and they can be accommodated in the digital economy. What challenges are out there; how can I overcome these with the support of others? How do I channel my superpowers into a space where I can be an active citizen in the digital and physical world? What kind of support works and why? How can I apply that to myself and my aspirations?
2) How do employers, potential colleagues, designers of the public realm, transport systems and digital technology help enable me and others to fulfil our potential? How can other neurodiverse communities develop the opportunities that we have, and how do we learn from each other?
Our discussion is between 12 of us and, as such, does not need mass participation or input from a big audience although we will be discussing each ep and hope to have engagement from participants. We expect other neurodiverse communities to be interested in our stories and the kinds of things we can all do to utilise our superpowers more. As well as using the Mozilla machine we will also do our own digital marketing in advance of our session. It will be a test of the marketing skills we have learned and practiced over recent months so, in that sense its down to us to generate an audience. It will work with 3, it will work with 30, it will work with 3000. The more the better.
