In this session I will teach younger programmers how to make a simple platform/tictactoe game using P5.js and my own P5.js library (P5.Create) which makes it easier to manage complex games development tasks such as collision which younger programmers might struggle with due to the mathematical complexity of colliding sprites!
I'd hope to provide anyone that takes part in my session with resources on how they can expand on what I have shown them. Since it's in the Youth Zone I'm unsure if it would be appropriate to keep in contact using something such as Discord?
What is the goal and/or outcome of your session?:My goal is to give the younger programmers enough skills to be able to leave the session willing and able to be able to create the own small and simple games using P5.js and my own P5.js games development library.
How will you deal with varying numbers of participants in your session?:If there where 30 participants it would be fine since I'm going to provide sample code to work from to work on the simple platform game/tiktaktoe game. I'll also be able to provide some support on that chat. But alternatively, if there were 3 people I could possibly use breakout rooms to provide individual support and feedback on the platform game that they are working on.
