Mozilla Festival 2021 (March 8th – 19th, 2021)

I am not an expert...but

We don't know everything. Nobody does. Whether you're a Python coder, a campaigner, or a potential AI user, none of us has all of the answers.

But that can be a hard thing to admit, or it can be hard to feel like you can meaningfully contribute to the development and implementation of AI technologies. But this is a trap. We'll need everyone to contribute, challenge and review to mainstream these technologies in a just fashion. In this discussion, we'll interrogate:
What we're worried about/personal stories of how AI is affecting us
The permission we need to give ourselves and each other to get involved
What we can do to support more inclusive discussions

What is the goal and/or outcome of your session?:

Practical tools to support more inclusive discussion around AI.

We're hoping that many efforts and discussions will continue after Mozfest. Share any ideas you already have for how to continue the work from your session.:

I've just completed a Fellowship which makes the case for cross disciplinary work on AI. I hope I can weave the findings from this through follow up work.

How will you deal with varying numbers of participants in your session?:

We will use Zoom breakout to split people up and create group reflection and feedback if there are more people.
