Mozilla Festival 2021 (March 8th – 19th, 2021)

Mozilla Festival 2021 (March 8th – 19th, 2021)

Culture Games Africa: the Internet-of-Culture.

Uploading Africa and redefine ownership.

We will be discussing history, source, and collaborative effort towards virtual research and authentication of data and sources.

Cultural Games Africa (CUGA) Wiki will represent a source, providing virtual reality to historical centres, museums, and monuments, It would also provide a space for exhibitions and promotions of contents, artefacts and other categorised material's, using virtual reality in the face of a pandemic, travels in the space of sanity and safety.

What is the goal and/or outcome of your session?:

The goal of this event is to create a platform for Africans to own its content. Apart from respecting the creative commons, Africans must be able to relate exhibit culture, delicacies, drinks, and stories (myths or legends) online.

In defeating stereotypes, the indigenous end-user must correct or support its story with facts, providing internet users the needed information to communicate or relate with its culture. This would be the Internet-for-Good, promoting facts and eliminating fake news, encourage tourism and original sources of information.

This would boost virtual research and authentication of data and sources.

How will you deal with varying numbers of participants in your session?:

All good (and great) things start with a low number.

For CUGA to succeed, the show must go on...what matters is that we give it life.

We're hoping that many efforts and discussions will continue after Mozfest. Share any ideas you already have for how to continue the work from your session.:

We created a website and also an app to promote the Uploading Africa Initiatives. We believed that a platform such as Mozilla is the best pivotal opportunity to reach and reach our objective.

We would be creating a Culture Games Africa (CUGA) Wiki to allow for Content Contributions, Research Authentication, and distribution (with regards to Creative Commons and related protection of Articles and Research) for general use.
