The BBFinder app: An afrocentric all-inclusive business community solution

About this session:
This interactive live session provides space for building a shared understanding of the Afrocentric community in the Netherlands. We would like to show our view how to resolve certain issues, by solving problems in the community, using technology. With our platform, we would like to share knowledge and collaborate with organizations with a surfacing collective vision.

Goals for this session:
The BBFinder team is always open to new collaborations and ideas to expand the BBFinder platform even further. Therefore, we would like to reach out to tech-savvy social activists and social investors with like-minded ideals to reach our common objectives. Here we will open the debate with you so that we can have a fruitful debate about how you think about our organization and how you think that technology can be a solution to the problems in the Afrocentric community.

What is the goal and/or outcome of your session?:

The BBFinder team is always open to new collaborations and ideas to expand the BBFinder platform even further. Therefore, we would like to reach out to tech-savvy social activists and social investors with like-minded ideals to reach our common objectives. Here we will open the debate with you so that we can have a fruitful debate about how you think about our organization and how you think that technology can be a solution to the problems in the Afrocentric community.

We're hoping that many efforts and discussions will continue after Mozfest. Share any ideas you already have for how to continue the work from your session.:

We as BBFinder are always open for discussions and new views and solutions. We will give people always the opportunity to contact us. Also, since we are starting a BBFinder academy, we would like to create a space for people that have similar interests with us. We are always looking for partners that add value to us or our community.

How will you deal with varying numbers of participants in your session?:

That will not change our session. The only thing is that there will be fewer people whom we can actively ask to brainstorm with us.

Osvaldo Kanga is the founder of BBFinder, an app that allows consumers to find, rate and support Afrocentric businesses. We found a way to do this and created an app.
