MozFest 2022

Mozilla Research Mixer
Language: English (mozilla)

Mozilla researchers are covering a lot of ground. They've discovered partisan influencers evading Tik Tok's ad policies, shone a light on YouTube's secretive algorithms, reviewed the privacy policies of connected devices, identified alternative data governance models, shared stories of AI around the world, and so much more. Join Mozilla researchers to learn about their work and how you can get involved.

What is the goal and/or outcome of your session?:

This is a networking opportunity intended to foster connections across Mozilla teams and with MozFest attendees.

Why did you choose that space? How does your session align with the space description?:

As Mozilla researchers, the MoZone is the best space for this event.

How will you deal with varying numbers of participants in your session? What if 30 participants attend? What if there are 3?:

The reason we decided on joint social chat session is that we can guarantee a set minimum level of attendance which we believe will increase the likelihood of people feeling welcome in the space.

What happens after MozFest? We're hoping that many efforts and discussions will continue after MozFest. Share any ideas you already have for how to continue the work from your session.:

As a networking event, we hope it offers the opportunity to create some new connections with potential research partners. It could also be a good opportunity for funders to connect informally with our researchers.

What language would you like to host your session in?:
