Adam Bly is the founder and CEO of System, a new Public Benefit Corporation reinventing how we organize and discover data and knowledge. He previously led data at Spotify. Prior to that, he founded and was CEO of Seed Scientific, the data analytics firm, which was acquired by Spotify. Named a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum, Adam has lectured at the United Nations, MIT, NASA, Ars Electronica, MoMA, The National Academy of Sciences, The Royal Society, the World Economic Forum (WEF), and before the U.S. House of Representatives on the role of data and science in society. He was a Visiting Senior Fellow in Science, Technology & Society at Harvard Kennedy School, has advised Fortune 500 companies on data strategy and national political campaigns on science policy, and has served on the WEF Global Agenda Councils on Complex Systems and Data-Driven Development.
Anasuya Sengupta is Co-Director and co-founder of Whose Knowledge?, a global multilingual campaign to center the knowledges of marginalized communities (the minoritised majority of the world) online. She has led initiatives across the global South, and internationally for over 20 years, to collectively create feminist presents and futures of love, justice, and liberation. She is committed to unpacking issues of power, privilege, and access, including her own as an anti-caste savarna woman.
Sasha Costanza-Chock (they/she/elle/ella) is a researcher and designer who works to support community-led processes that build shared power, dismantle the matrix of domination, and advance ecological survival. They are a nonbinary trans* femme. Sasha is known for their work on networked social movements, transformative media organizing, and design justice. Sasha is the Director of Research & Design at the Algorithmic Justice League (ajlunited.org), a Faculty Associate with the Berkman-Klein Center for Internet & Society at Harvard University, and a member of the Steering Committee of the Design Justice Network (designjustice.org). They are the author of two books and numerous journal articles, book chapters, and other research publications. Sasha’s latest book, Design Justice: Community-Led Practices to Build the Worlds We Need, was published by the MIT Press in 2020.
