The documentary gives an insight behind the scenes of the Municipality of Amsterdam concerning the use of digital technologies in the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic crisis. Followed by a Q&A with the documentary maker.
Stimulate the debate between the Municipalities and the citizens about digital rights during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Why did you choose that space? How does your session align with the space description?:The pandemic showed us how the power distribution in times of crisis shifts and the effect on digital right.
How will you deal with varying numbers of participants in your session? What if 30 participants attend? What if there are 3?:Depending on the participants, we will facilitate a debate after the movie. In the case of three participants we will have a circle dialog. In case of 30 participants we will use QA as a format.
What happens after MozFest? We're hoping that many efforts and discussions will continue after MozFest. Share any ideas you already have for how to continue the work from your session.:The video or parts of the video are open for usage by anyone for stimulating de debate about ethics in term of a crisis and after the crisis, where short term decisions risk to become long term programmed in for example business rules.
What language would you like to host your session in?: English, DutchSiham El Yassini works as a civil servant for the Municipality of Amsterdam as CIO-officer/program manager/policy advisor on various topics, such as algorithms live cycle (for example the register), digital rights and information management, governance and strategy.
Reinout Hellenthal is a Dutch producer and director working in the field of film and television. His commercial work consists of development and production of reality, documentary film, tv commercials and virtual content. His independent work is characterized by stories drawn from real life and related to contemporary issues.
