MozFest 2022

Truth or Dare: Understanding marketing claims about security and privacy
Language: English (mozilla)

In seeking more secure and privacy enhancing tools contained within the services we use and for the products we create, we often rely on the claims made in marketing materials. However, we know that the simplified explanations of security and privacy features may not tell us the nuance we require. This panel will explore how users can interpret the variations of claims and better understand what risks they are accepting in using tools with such security and privacy features.

Directly after this session, join us in Spatial Chat. We will have team members available to answer questions and continue the conversation from the panel. In addition to the Q&A, we will highlight features and a description of our soon to be released data storage service PrivateStorage.
