MozFest House Amsterdam

Mozilla Festival is the premiere gathering for a more humane digital world. Bringing together people from various backgrounds, Mozilla Festival serves as a unique hybrid: part art, tech, and culture gathering, part maker festival, and a pivotal forum for social activists, redefining the future of the internet, and forging new paradigms for Artificial Intelligence.

In 2024, urgent challenges await. With 83 elections in 76 countries and ongoing conflicts, climate impact worsens, and inequality deepens due to limited access to tech. Artificial intelligence (AI) will affect 40% of global jobs, demanding interconnected solutions.

This year's urgency meets our theme: Solidarity and Togetherness. Together, we envision a future filled with opportunity and abundance, prioritising people and the environment, over money and machines. At Mozilla Festival, we champion inclusive digital governance. Together, we co-dream and co-create, contributing our unique nuances of place, culture, and lived experience, into the spirit of the Festival.

As we head into our 15th year, we’re proud to look back and see how the Mozilla Festival has fueled the movement over the years to ensure the internet benefits humanity, rather than harms it. Today, we remain focused on our work to build a healthier internet and more Trustworthy AI.
This year, we're bringing Mozilla Festival closer to you with not one, but two in-person events! Our premiere event of 2024, MozFest House: Amsterdam, is from June 11 to 13, followed by the second MozFest House in Zambia towards the end of the year.

MozFest House is 2 days of what MozFest does best: inspiring conversations, urgent discussions, collaborative workshops, and art and culture moments. Emphasizing the importance of working locally for global impact, these events feature key discussions tailored to our local partners, friends, allies, and initiatives. The knowledge and inspiration gained during these events fuel local projects, ensuring their sustainability and continual growth within the community.

"Whether playfully or audaciously - it is only by imagining what does not yet exist: new pathways, new solutions, new possibilities - that we can break our silos and strengthen our commitment to operate interdependently. The joy of playfulness and invention that is at the core of MozFest is critical to
fueling our movements." - @ J. Bob Alotta
