The Collective Power Playbook
2024-06-13 , Room G - Garden House

Come to this session to strengthen facilitation skills and join the network developing the ‘Collective Power Playbook’. https://collectivepower.net

Divisiveness is rife in our society. Leaders gain power through divide-and-conquer fear-mongering tactics. Our tech-driven culture creates fewer and fewer opportunities for meaningful interaction. At the same time, communities across the world are harnessing the internet to build solidarity. As facilitators, leaders, and convenors, we have an essential role in ensuring meaningful connections that can counter divisiveness.

This session is about creating the resources, skills and network to perform that role better.

The Collective Power Playbook is a resource (in progress) for anyone who wants to start organizing or already works on social change efforts. The Playbook provides exercises for you to use when you convene, while the ‘Collective Power’ network growing behind its development will help you strengthen your expertise.

You will find this particularly relevant to empower collective action to:
- Bolster a group to work together during a workshop, meeting or any other convening
- Develop strategies with activists and advocates to attain a more just and fair society
- Work to cocreate transparent, accountable and fair processes in an organization
- Weave a network of practice for peer learning.
