2024-06-13 –, Room F - Garden Tent
This session offers an introductory presentation by members of the first cohort of the Master in Design for Responsible AI by Elisava and IAM, coming from Colombia, Canada, Brazil, India, Poland, Serbia and the UK synthesising key insights from human (and non-human rights), anti-racist, decolonial, feminist, non-Western and queer perspectives that have been part of their learning experience, framed in the context of the ongoing climate emergency.
Afterwards, they will host and facilitate a workshop where participants will break into smaller groups to discuss and use those insights to collectively imagine alternative, inclusive and fair narratives about the futures of AI, in the form of collaborative poetic outputs. Overall, participants will practice the idea of plurality, as defined by Audrey Tang, “technology that recognizes, honors, and empowers cooperation across social and cultural differences”.
