Reem is the US Advocacy Lead for the Mozilla Foundation. Prior to joining Mozilla, Reem was a policy researcher at the UC Berkeley Labor Center's Technology and Work program, where she co-authored a policy report on the technology rights workers need for the 21st Century. Since 2016, Reem has served as Commissioner on the City of Oakland's Privacy Advisory Commission, reviewing the City's use of surveillance technology against Oaklanders' privacy and civil liberties interests.
