Njemile Davis, Senior Program Analyst, Technology Division | USAID
Njemile Davis is a Senior Program Analyst in the Technology Division at USAID, where she drives development efforts around internet affordability, data governance, and protecting children and youth from digital harm. Previously, Njemile served the non-profit sector for more than 15 years, working on behalf of under-resourced communities by leading program, project and staff development, strategic planning, and fundraising initiatives. She is a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer, Ukraine (2018-2019) who earned her Master’s in Public Administration as a National Urban Fellow and completed her undergraduate studies at Cornell University.
Dr. Shachee Doshi is the Acting Team Lead for the Strategy & Research team in the Technology Division of USAID's Bureau for Development, Democracy, and Innovation. Her team investigates the social, technical, and political implications of emerging trends in technology, providing thought leadership and developing evidence-based best practices on the responsible use of emerging technologies in international development and humanitarian assistance. Her portfolio spans artificial intelligence, digital identity systems, blockchain, and other frontier technologies. Shachee received her Ph.D. and postdoctoral training in neuroscience at the University of Pennsylvania, studying mechanisms underlying injuries and diseases in the nervous system. After her doctoral training, she shifted her focus to technology policy as a AAAS Science & Technology Policy Fellow with USAID's Center for Digital Development.
Roshan Nair serves as the Digital Inclusion Specialist for the Indo-Pacific Office of USAID based in New Delhi, focussed on connectivity and inclusive digitization in the South Asia region. Roshan has 15 years of experience implementing rural information services in local dialects in the Global South, enabling civil society to better understand community needs. Roshan also worked with local governments in India on technology-enabled citizen services, including grievance redressal and informal labour rights.
