This session considers what our relationship to change looks like in the algorithmic age: how do we witness or experience different kinds of social, ecological, historical, or technological changes, at present—and how might we, in the near and far futures?
In its current configurations, AI is a reflection of hegemonic worldviews and systems of knowledge production. Within these conditions, imposed binaries encode systemic and generalized social habits that flatten and short circuit the multitudes of histories, cultures, languages, values, wisdoms, and experiences we each bear individually, as well as collectively.
Understanding that we perceive, gather, receive, and transmit “data” across times, cultures, histories, bodies, and ideologies, Rituals for Liminality is a curated space for exploring how we can begin to recognize ourselves as interfaces for change in a time of algorithmically-induced transition.
It is an invitation to experience alternative modes of ritualizing and weaving personal histories, ancestries, and wisdoms into collective fabrics, summoning forth new rites of passage hospitable to our shapeshifting algorithmic id/entities and spaces.
Ancestral Communication with inabel Uytiepo is where you will learn to open an elemental portal to connect with ancestors safely through a guided inner journey.
Embodied Imagination with Bonita Oliver is a guided meditation inviting us to scan and tap into the subtexts of the energetic contributions we bring to conversations to better navigate our transcontextual and shapeshifting realities.

What began as a nascent idea, has evolved into this MozFest moment's synthesis of what is an ongoing, ever-evolving, life-long and life-wide (un)learning project(s)/inquiry grounded in decoloniality, feminist, and Black/African diaspora pasts/presents/futures-focus
At the end of a world as we've known it, this liminal and emergent space in which we find ourselves is potent: together we can collectively dream and liberate not-yet-known possibilities of safety, justice, equity, and wellbeing for all.
Bonita Oliver has been practicing Astrology for over 24 years, referring to the tropical zodiac and using the Placidus house system. She encourages the use of astrology as tool for deciphering our psychological motivations. Her aim is to empower people with the means of understanding of their own astrological charts.
Bonita is also a multidisciplinary performance artist and improviser. She is a Web3 consultant, a facilitator with Technology Gap, a Co-Founder of Black Meta Fest 2022 and a Co-Founder of DisruptorDAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization) which encourages Web3 education among Black Women and Afro Latinas.
inabel Uytiepo, CBMA, CCHT, CMT (they/siya) offers Deep Collective Care, Somatic Forgiveness and Ancestral Wayfinding as a multidisciplinary wholistic healing arts practitioner for individuals and groups. inabel is also a co-convener for the grassroots cross-racial solidarity organization Peoples Collective for Justice and Liberation. inabel’s most recent endeavor is sharing their life’s explorative work in a co-creative journey called the Wayfinding Collective. linktr.ee/healingisgiving
Tada Hozumi is a spiritualist, artist, and philosopher of Japanese ancestry whose work is dedicated to bringing harmony between the New Earth and Metaverse.
They are a descendant of the Hozumi clan, one of Japan and the world's longest documented and unbroken shamanic lineages.
Their newly launched project Lunmu (龍夢/Dragon's Dream), a collaboration with psychic and artist Rein Lo, weaves together esoteric cosmologies of various ancient cultures into an open-source user-friendly modern spiritual science - a labor of love in preparation for the coming initiatory age of Singularity and ecological collapse.
