2022-12-02 –, Workshop 1 (Turing), BBAW
In this workshop we will discuss benefits and challenges of global simulations as a method in virtual exchange. We will use the example of the course „The European Union – ideas, challenges and perspectives“ where we teach basics on the European Union to International and German students. The public will be invited to join an interactive discussion on the subject.
The session will start with a short introduction in the course evolution from a classic classroom taught course to an international virtual exchange. We will then introduce global simulations as a method. On this basis we will then outline the simulations used or planned in the course on the European Union. Following this input based part of the workshop, participants will have time to enter into discussion about the benefits and challenges of the global simulation in small groups. The workshop will end with putting together the output of the group works.
