Using quality assurance data in the processes of digitalisation of workflows in higher education
12-01, 11:15–11:45 (Europe/Berlin), Stage 3 (Lovelace), WiFo

The Database of External Quality Assurance Results (DEQAR) provides a one stop shop access to
reliable information about the quality assurance of higher education institutions in Europe (and beyond). This public database contains 80 000 reports (i.e. accreditations and evaluations) on higher education institutions and their programmes. The session will offer a glimpse of the eco system of the database and the possibilities for using the data.

Using technical solutions, DEQAR enables downloading of the stored data and automatic transfer of the information to other databases and platforms. Use cases range from validating information in the processes of recognising student qualifications by ENIC NARICs to using quality assurance data when issuing digital credentials through the EU led initiatives (EBSI and EDC) by higher education institutions. The talk will lead the participants through the current developments and explain how to use the data for their purposes in the processes of digitalising workflows.
