NLNOG Day 2024

NLNOG Day 2024 will be held at Podium Mozaïek in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, on Tuesday, October 22nd, 2024. Like every year we're inviting everyone to come present their knowledge, skills and stories.

Our audience

• network engineers and architects, security engineers, technical managers, devops engineers, students
• people working for or having ambitions to work for: internet service providers, hosting companies, CDNs, IXPs, networking sofware and hardware vendors, etc
• our live audience is mostly from or working in The Netherlands
• our online audience is from all over the world

Possible topics

• Network design and operations
• Datacenter technologies
• Network and routing security
• Tools for managing, monitoring, visualising networks
• Network automation
• New techniques
• Legal and social aspects of running a network
• Historical lore

Requirements

• all talks are in English
• talks presenting commercial products or services are not welcome
• the presenter has ownership of the intellectual property what's presented or is legally allowed by the owner to use this
• the presenter authorizes NLNOG to publish their name, biography, slides and recording of the presentation on NLNOG's website and social media accounts

Presentation formats

1. presentation/demo (30 minutes, 5 minutes Q&A)
2. lightning talk (10 minutes)
3. workshops

The preferred ways of presenting:

• live on-site (most preferred)
• live remote
• remote recorded, with a live Q&A session via a video call (least preferred)
