I'm a student at the University of Twente with an interest in IT and business.

Most people know me for running one of the bigger Dutch gamehosting companies, Ferox Hosting.

Since 2023, I run the Studenten Net Twente association at the university, which brings together technical students to connect and maintain the IT infrastructure for close to a hundred associations at the university, together with the largest FTP and IRC servers in the region.

Ever since his studies at the University of Twente in the Netherlands, Luuk has
had an interest in measuring the Internet, often from a security perspective.
Ranging from intrusion detection algorithms based on network flow data to measuring IPv6 intricacies, he always used and produced open source software to support his research.

After finishing his studies, Luuk found his natural fit at NLnet Labs, the
Amsterdam-based not-for-profit organisation striving for an open and secure
Internet by means of open source software and open standards development in DNS
and routing since 1999. As a Research Engineer working on the Rotonda project,
Luuk now focuses on enabling operators to get better insights on how routing
(security) solutions affect their networks.

Passionate about transforming networks into secure, scalable, and highly available infrastructures. With expertise in cloud-native solutions, network automation, and Software-Defined Networking (SDN), I thrive at the intersection of innovation and reliability.

Hi! My name is Nick and I’m a Network Engineer at Speakup a leading communications provider located in Enschede. I’m passionate about technology and all things IT. I also run a small business on the side that helps small businesses in the area with IT-related tasks like management, security, networking and more.

I am the head of network infrastructure by day at PFALZKOM in Germany, but I also have fun building networks for non profit events like WHY2025 or other related conferences/events in my spare time.

Peter Foppen works as a Technical Solution Architect at Comstor, a distributor of Cisco. He has 20 years of experience working on network designs and architecture roadmaps. He supports Cisco Partners across the Benelux (from freelancers up to Cisco Global Gold Partners & ISPs).

In his spare time, he is an aviation & space geek, as well as a private pilot.

Rinse is a freelance network engineer with broad experience in building and operating networks. He works on topics ranging from automation to infrastructure design, always with a focus on practical solutions. He enjoys sharing knowledge and lessons learned with the wider community.

Sasha is an independent developer and community organiser. With over a decade of Python experience, Sasha mostly works on open source software related to internet infrastructure, network engineering, and internet standards. They've also been part of the Write the Docs conference team since 2018 and enjoy side projects like the Less Obvious Conference Checklist and Happiness Packets, which focus on improving the tech community in small but meaningful ways.

Thomas is post doctoral researcher at the University of Strasbourg, France. His work aims to enhance BGP measurements, operations and monitoring. In 2023, he was a MANRS Ambassador.

Tony O'Sullivan started in the the telco industry in 2007 when he joined RETN. His career progressed from corporate structuring, to business development, to the COO position from 2016 through to 2021 when he took over as CEO of the business
