Eduardo Martins Guerra

Martins, Eduardo is a Researcher at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano, Italy. The focus of Eduardo Guerra’s research can be defined as “find better ways to develop software,” which can include programming approaches and processes to be used by the development team. He considers the principles of Agile Software Development the core guidance of his research since they share the goal to improve software quality, optimize development time, and increase software adaptability. Test-driven development (TDD) was the core of several works that focused on test code refactoring, application of TDD for specific kinds of software, and teaching and evaluating the technique. Also, in the scope of programming techniques, the usage of metadata and code annotations were the focus of several works that aimed to study them as an alternative to make the software more adaptable and improve the code quality.

Giulia Giussani

Giulia Giussani is Digital Innovation Manager at IDSA, a not-for-profit association leading the co-creation an international, technology-agnostic standard for cross-domain data sharing based on the federated and sovereign approach called "data spaces". IDSA positions itself as a leading global initiative to enable data spaces thanks to the creation of common frameworks and trust mechanisms. Giulia started dealing with the topic of data sharing ecosystems when finishing her studies in entrepreneurship and innovation at the Free University of Bolzano-Bozen, where she wrote her Master thesis on the benefits of such initiatives, in joint research with CEFRIEL, a technology and innovation center in Milan expert in API-based digital ecosystems. Thanks to this experience, she became passionate about the topic and decided to move to Germany in 2020 to join the IDSA team, to support shaping this new era of the data economy. At IDSA, Giulia is mainly active in consulting on the IDS standard and its business applications, and in disseminating the data spaces approach in various international contexts. In addition to this, she is also involved in some strategic activities related to the governance of the association and to the long-term engagement of the IDSA stakeholders.

I have been working for Autostrada del Brennero since 2004. I am presently Head of the Department for European Projects, in charge with the deployment of several projects co-funded by the European Commission within different EU programs (Connecting Europe Facility, Horizon Europe, LIFE). The main areas of implementation of these projects are Connected and Automated Driving, Management Measures to minimize traffic impact on the Environment, ITS systems for Traffic and Freight Management.
