Towards Microcredentials-as-a-Service
Microcredentials (MCs) as digital record of knowledge or competence assessment are already common in business certifications but still rarely used in universities. This is changing now, with ZHAW and ETH Zürich being the first two universities in Switzerland to issue such MCs for continuous education participants. In this beginner-level talk, we explain the technology behind MCs and introduce operational models. Thus, we provide guidance how more universities can adopt and mutually recognise MCs.
