The session uses the element of satire.
As in an «April Fool's joke», I show how to effectively and efficiently exclude different customer groups.
I will begin with accessible services.
And modify these in a grotesque reverse engineering process to produce barriers.
The aim is to find out how to disable specific target groups.

In this way, I convey to the audience the practical purpose of very theoretical-looking rules, such as the WCAG.
Another learning will be, that digital accessibility requires a lot of physical accessibility measures.

The second focus of my talk is how to improve the user experience for visually disabled user groups.
Today, sighted people mostly produce services for non-sighted people using their logic.
But what logic does an acoustically controlled user interface follow?
Or how can navigation be optimised with the help of keyboards?
The answer is: «With a different approach than you imagine!»
The aim is to get the audience excited about new and different quality management and innovative processes.

Stefan Barac has been focussing on accessibility, inclusion and sustainability for over 17 years.
As a designer and engineer, he has gained a lot of experience from two different perspectives.
This mix helps him to improve the way he works. He works at the intersection between technology and people.
Especially in ergonomic design of automation processes.
The focus is on strategic training and the application of enablement to access.

Stefan's exclusive involvement with accessibility began in 2023.
His work helps companies to reach more target audiences, generate more sales and changes their culture.
One of his key convictions is:
You cannot design accessible solutions for audiences!
Only toghether with them.
