DESCRIPTION:Bioinformatics is a field in data science that analyzes biologi
 cal data with technology. Python is one of the key parts of bioinformatics
  since it is popular\, has a wide library\, and has a large community. Thi
 s talk will also highlight the important role that bioinformatics plays in
  helping the country solve its challenges. Through the lens of bioinformat
 ics tools like Biopython\, scikit-bio\, and more\, the audience—whether 
 they are developers\, data scientists\, researchers\, or simply enthusiast
 s—will be able to gain insights and be inspired to harness these tools a
 nd participate in solving real-world problems. \n\nThe target audience of 
 this talk is categorized into two (2): primary and secondary audiences.\n\
 na. Primary Audience: Python developers\, data scientists\, bioinformatici
 ans\, and health professionals interested in applying Python and bioinform
 atics in addressing real-world problems.\n\nb. Secondary Audience: Student
 s\, researchers\, and professionals in the Philippines\, or anyone interes
 ted in the intersection of technology and biology (bioinformatics).\n\nIn 
 this talk\, I will cover the following topics:\n\n1. Introduction: Bioinfo
 rmatics in Action in the Philippines (13 minutes) \n-> Bioinformatics as a
 n application of data science will be introduced\, along with some example
  applications in the Philippines.\n     \n2. Tools and Techniques: How Pyt
 hon Powers Bioinformatics in the Philippines (7 minutes) \n-> Introduction
  of Python's role in bioinformatics (BioPython\, Pandas\, NumPy\, SciPy\, 
 scikit-bio\, etc.).\n\n3. Short Walkthrough: What is an example of a bioin
 formatics process? (10 minutes) \n-> Project walkthrough\, which will show
 case what a bioinformatics process looks like.
