DESCRIPTION:As your company grows\, so does your software landscape. Differ
ent CI configurations\, inconsistent linting rules\, varying packaging app
roaches: every new project reinvents the wheel. Scaffolding tools like coo
kiecutter help with the initial setup — but what happens six months late
r\, when best practices have evolved\, and your template has moved on? Tha
t’s where most approaches fall apart. And a centralized\, “magic” pi
peline is no better — it’s opaque\, brittle\, and leaves no room for c
ustomization. Using Copier\, we built a standardized yet customizable proj
ect template — a paved road that guides developers without boxing them i
 n. But the real game changer is what comes after: Copier’s built-in upda
te mechanism lets us propagate template improvements to hundreds of existi
ng projects. A GitHub bot runs monthly\, opens Pull Requests with the late
st changes\, and a Streamlit dashboard tracks adoption across the organiza
tion. Attendees will learn how to build flexible templates\, automate ongo
ing maintenance at scale\, and manage version drift — so developers can
focus on writing code instead of fighting boilerplate.
