About the PyCon JP 2022 CfP

Conference of PyCon JP 2022, the biggest Python Festival in Japan, will be held in October.

If you would like to present at this conference, please submit a proposal for a talk from this page.

One of the missions of PyCon JP is to provide a place to "share knowledge.”
PyCon JP 2022 is looking for a wide range of topics that you would like to share.
Even if you are a Python beginner, please do not hesitate to apply.


Details about proposal

The maximum talk duration is up to 30 minutes (minimum 20 minutes), excluding questions and answers.
Talks can be given in either English or Japanese.

How to apply

There are 3 steps to apply:

  1. Fill out the proposal form in English or Japanese.
  2. Login to Pretalx.
  3. Click submit button (You can make changes during the application period).
  • You can write your proposals in Markdown syntax.
    • We will make sure it will also be displayed in Markdown as well on the PyCon JP 2022 website.
  • Details on the fields to be filled out on the proposal are described separately on the blog. The link is at the bottom of this page.
  • Please refer to the sample proposal.
  • 'Notes' will not be subject to review.
  • To switch between Japanese and English, please click the language switch link in the upper right corner of this CfP page.

Important dates

  • Submission Opens: 5/9
  • Submission Closes: AoE 6/12 23:59 (JST 6/13 20:59)
  • Acceptance/Rejection Notification: Middle June(TBD)

Please note - Although Pretalx allows you to submit or change your talk proposals even after the deadline, you will be disqualified from consideration on PyCon JP 2022.

Information

  • If you are applying for more than one duration, please submit a proposal for each.
  • Reviewers can see your proposal.
    • Anyone including public can see accepted talks on the PyCon JP 2022 website.
  • Name does not have to be your real name. We will not disclose this information to reviewers, but staff may refer to Name.
  • Reviewers cannot see your profile (due to blind review).
    • PyCon JP 2022 staff may refer to this information when adopting the proposal.
    • Anyone including public can see Name and Biography of the accepted talks on the PyCon JP 2022 website after selection.
  • For those who are planning to attend PyCon JP 2022 from far away, we have a support system for distant attendees to help with transportation and accommodation costs.
    • Details will be announced later on our blog.
  • Exclusion of Anti-Social Forces
    Anti Social Forces: An organized crime group, a member of an organized crime group, a related company or association of an organized crime group, and any other equivalent person of above.
    Each party represents and warrants that is not a person who has fallen and shall not fall under the Anti-Social Forces and a person having a relationship with the Anti-Social Forces.
