Meet the PyLadies Global Council, learn about PyLadies and the role of PyLadies and the Global Council in the Python community.
Lynn Root is a Staff Engineer at Spotify and an adjunct professor at Columbia University's Graduate School of Engineering. She is a seasoned speaker on building and maintaining distributed systems, and is the tech lead for governance compliance for Spotify's ML/AI platform. Lynn is a global leader of diversity in the Python community, the Chair of the PyLadies Global Council, and a PSF fellow and the former Vice Chair of the PSF's Board of Directors. When her hands are not on a keyboard, they are usually holding a pair of knitting needles or a bass guitar.

Marie-Louise is a Data Scientist and Machine Learning Engineer with four years of experience in the UK public sector. As Vice Chair of PyLadies Global, she has dedicated herself to strengthening and expanding the community, fostering inclusivity in the Python ecosystem. Her technical work spans both traditional and creative applications of AI, from developing enterprise solutions to generating digital artwork and animations. She combines her expertise in machine learning with innovative approaches to help organisations harness the full potential of AI technologies, while remaining committed to mentoring and supporting the growth of diverse tech communities.
