In this panel, we will have some of our most successful PyLadies discuss women's challenges when starting a business and how to overcome them. We will also talk about challenges women encounter in their careers and tips for career development.
After having a career as a Data Scientist and Developer Advocate, Cheuk dedicated her work to the open-source community. Currently, she is working as AI developer advocate for JetBrains. She has co-founded Humble Data, a beginner Python workshop that has been happening around the world. She has served the EuroPython Society board for two years and is now a fellow and director of the Python Software Foundation.
Tereza Iofciu is a data practitioner and leadership coach. She has more than 15 years of experience in Data Science, Data Engineering, Product Management and Team Management. Along side that she spent most of those years volunteering in the Python Community and wears many hats: PyLadies Hamburg organizer, Python Software Verband board member, NumFocus DISC Steering Committee member, Python Software Foundation Code of Conduct team member, Diversity & Inclusion working group member, PyConDE & PyData Berlin organizer, Python Pizza Hamburg organizer, and PyPodcats co-leader. In 2021 Tereza was awarded the Python Software Foundation community service award.
Ines Montani is a developer specializing in tools for AI and NLP technology. She’s the co-founder and CEO of Explosion and a core developer of spaCy, a popular open-source library for Natural Language Processing in Python, and Prodigy, a modern annotation tool for creating training data for machine learning models.
Anwesha is a fellow at the Python Software Foundation and the Release Manager of Ansible. She works as a Software Engineer with the Ansible Engineering team at Red Hat. She led PyLadies efforts in India and now is an organizer at PyLadies Stockholm. You can follow her blog at https://anweshadas.in.
Una is passionate about encouraging others to see different perspectives and constructively break the rules. She dedicated more than 18 years to the Data and AI field and wore different hats (from hands-on development to leading Data and AI departments). Next to owning a boutique consulting, she is a driving force behind PyLadies Amsterdam, the Women in AI Benelux advisory board member and a Microsoft MVP.
