Abby started her career in London as a web developer at IBM before moving to NYC in 2022 and joining Meta in 2025. She’s worn a bunch of hats along the way - software developer, developer advocate, product manager, people manager, and is currently a Senior Developer Advocate focused on the Python Open Source community. Over the years her work has often sat at the intersection of software development and emerging technologies, specifically quantum computing, scientific computing and of course machine learning and AI. When she’s not working, she’s busy doing a part-time master’s degree at UC Berkeley (graduating Spring 2026). If there's any time left over, she loves traveling, photography, and food (both eating and cooking it)!

Aishat Muibudeen is the Design Lead at the AsyncAPI Initiative, where she also serves on the Code of Conduct and Technical Steering Committees. She’s an active contributor to CHAOSS and the founder of OpenNest-Africa, a community built to make open source less intimidating and more fun, especially for folks from underrepresented backgrounds.

Her work intersects inclusive design, community care, and open-source sustainability. She’s a frequent speaker on these topics and presented her paper “Beyond the Code: How Diversity and Inclusion Shape the Future of Open Source” at the OpenForum Academy Symposium (OFA) in 2024.

Amanda is an Engineering Manager at Vinta Software. She considers herself to be a hybrid professional, having a background in business and software engineering. They studied computer science and physics at Rhodes University, completed a masters in theoretical physics at the Perimeter Institute (where Stephen Hawking was guest of honour at their graduation), and earned a PhD in bioinformatics from the University of the Western Cape. Imogen co-founded Hyrax Biosciences, whose Exatype software helps track HIV drug resistance across Africa and assembled the first Omicron variant SARS-CoV-2 genomes. Swarooprani Manoor is an Assistant Professor in the Master of Computer Applications department at KLS Gogte Institute of Technology, Belagavi, India, with over 20 years of teaching experience. She specializes in Python Programming, Data Science, Unix Shell Scripting, and Blockchain Technology.

Swarooprani is passionate about making technical education accessible.
