Robot Framework Browser library did many thing different than other libraries before.
What have we learned and what can you learn from our way.


Browser is now out for more than two years and we have learned a lot in that time.
From better selectors/locators over bad keywords and better ones...

New keyword approaches like the assertion keywords,
setting scope and type conversions are just a few of those things that make Browser lib different.

In this talk we will give you more insights into the Browser library, our decisions we made, lessons learned and approaches that we from now on also use in other libraries we will develop.

Tatu Aalto works at WithSecure as a Senior Software Developer in Test in team which makes Windows anti-virus client team. He has +10 years experience with Robot Framework and more than 20 years experience in testing at general. Tatu maintains several libraries or tools in the Robot Framework ecosystem, example PyhtonLibCore and is one of the core team member in the Browser library.

I'm a full stack application developer, who was introduced to Robot Framework through the Browser projects initial funded start at 2020 summer. Since then I have been maintaining it as part of the open-source team. In general I like exploring programming languages, libraries and concepts. As my day job I create and maintain developer tooling at Robocorp.

Mikko is a developer and consultant that works with client organisations in various industries and Vice-Chairman of the board of Robot Framework Foundation.

He is also active in Robot Framework community and has participated in development of tools such as Robot Framework, Robot Framework Browser and Pabot.
