RoboCon 2027

Robocon 2027 - Call for speakers

Send us your ideas!

Be a part of the 10th edition of the biggest Robot Framework conference! We are looking for new ideas, knowledge, experience stories, cooperation or experience with the community and tools. Submit your proposal and perhaps you’ll get the opportunity to share your story on the stage of an open-source community like no other.

About the conference

RoboCon is the crown jewel of the Robot Framework community. We come together to learn, exchange knowledge and have a great time with each other. For RoboCon 2027 we will have a full in-person conference and then a few weeks later a full online conference like previous years.

The in-person conference will be held in Helsinki on March 8 - 12. On the first day, there will be a Core day. A day for very experienced users, with limited spaces. On day two, we will hold the Workshops. Followed by two conference days. We finish this years conference with Community Day. An open space for the community to learn, discuss and work on topics related to Robot Framework or (building) the community. All talks at the in-person conference are to be given on the stage in Helsinki.

The online conference will take place on April 7 - 9. All talks for the online conference will be prerecorded, and live-streamed during the event. The speaker does not present but will be present for the Q&A after the talk. Any talk might be shared post-conference on our Youtube channel. By submitting and doing a talk, you agree with this.

Looking for Talks, Workshops, and Tutorials

We are looking for conference talks, workshops and tutorials. All talks are 25 minutes. This means you prepare 20 minutes of talk and plan for 5 minutes live Q&A. This is the same for in-person and online.

In-person in Helsinki, we are looking for full day Workshops. Workshops are focused on participants doing hands-on learning with a facilitator’s guidance.

For the online conference we are looking for Tutorials and half a day Workshops. Tutorials one and a half to two hour presentations giving an introduction or walk through a topic with an audience primarily listening and asking questions. A Workshop is a half day or a full day of doing hands-on learning with a facilitator's guidance.

Topics can range from technical to non technical, introductory to advanced, libraries, ecosystem projects, writing scripts or reporting results, any topic that you find would be instructive or entertaining to the wider community. The focus is on knowledge sharing, and giving actionable tips that people can start doing right away.

  • We are actively looking for these topics:
  • AI & Automation Intelligence
  • Web UI Testing
  • Libraries & Integrations
  • Core Robot Framework
  • Data & APIs
  • Good Practices from the Community
  • If you have another topic that you think would fit on the stage? Please submit it. We're looking forward to your ideas!

Our conference focuses on the Robot Framework community and the usage of Robot Framework out in the larger testing, RPA and automation space.

For speakers who are not accepted, we will offer a voucher to redeem a discounted ticket (Blind ticket) to the conference.

Speaker Compensation for the onsite conference

For on-site speakers who live outside the Helsinki Metropolitan Area, you may request reimbursement for travel expenses up to €500 in addition to the free conference ticket with backstage pass.

Travel/Lodging/Meals will not be offered and will remain your responsibility. If you do not have the proper audio equipment for your recording, we would be happy to support you with some good quality microphone. Please contact us about this when in doubt, audio quality is important to us.

Call For Speakers Instructions

This Call For Speakers is for both the in-person and online conference. Please fill out the following form with information about what you would like to present and some information about yourself.

What is your presentation about? What will the audience be able to take away from your talk? What audience will your talk be for? If you have a format or length in mind that isn't covered by the session types, please mention it in the notes section. Please add any pertinent information that you would like for us to consider to the Notes section.

As part of your submission, we ask you to provide one of the following:

  • A short video (2–5 min) of yourself explaining your talk idea — any quality is fine, phone is perfectly ok. This is the preferred option as it helps us understand your proposal beyond the written submission.
  • A recording of a previous talk — shows your speaking style but won't tell us about your current idea.
  • A short online meeting with a team member to talk through your idea.

Not providing any of these is also possible, but may result in a smaller chance of being selected. Videos will not be used for marketing purposes — only during assessment.

Writing a good abstract for your talk idea can be a difficult task. Speaking and writing a good abstract are two different competencies. If you need help, if you would like a review of your idea, please let us know. We would love to help you.

Submission deadline October 4, 2026 at 23:59 CET.

Selection begins in October. The program will be published in November.
