As a Rust developer, I thought, "Ofc I can learn guitar blazingly fast!"—little did I know.
I'll share my journey of using Rust to process live guitar audio and building a terminal-based app for practicing power chords and riffs, from signal visualization to real-time tuning.
Join me for a crossover of music, Rust, and terminals!
Recently I got inspired by a friend and bought myself an electric guitar to learn the magic behind my favorite songs. Soon after, I realized I could use Rust to build something that would teach me how to play, process live guitar audio, and improve my skills.
Join me in this talk where I share how I combined my passion for music with Rust, building a terminal-based application to practice classic riffs, visualize signals, and even tune my guitar in real time.
I also hope to inspire you to pick up the instrument of your choice and explore the creative possibilities that coding and music can offer!
