 g. Predominantly\, Satellite Imaging of the earth has been done in the opt
 ical domain and optical Images serve the majority of purpose for earth mon
 itoring. But\, these satellites do not have all-weather acquisition capabi
 lity and this lacuna is filled by the satellite sensors working in the Mic
 rowave domain of the Electromagnetic spectrum. Synthetic Aperture Radar(SA
 R) is an Imaging Radar that acquires images of a particular area on Earth 
 in the microwave region of electro-magnetic spectrum. This workshop deals 
 with the processing of SAR Images and how these images can be beneficial i
 n a variety of geographical applications.\n\nInstallation Instructions: Pa
 rticipants should use a computer or cloud compute with at least 16GB of me
 mory. Downloads of approximately 1-2GB will be needed during the tutorial.
