DESCRIPTION:Researchers and decision-makers of tomorrow need training that
is grounded in open science. However\, in social psychology in particular\
, an area severely affected by the replication crisis\, adapted teaching f
ormats are rarely available. Textbooks are generally not available in open
access formats\, and the only OER textbook remains largely silent on the
controversy surrounding the resilience of social psychological research. \
n\nIn this hackathon\, our goal will be providing updated learning materia
ls on key findings in social psychology. In this knowledge co-production p
rocess\, we will work on a textbook that documents shifts in the field and
revisits classic studies in light of recent replication efforts. Hackatho
ners work together to draft or revise chapters of an open textbook for und
ergraduate education. Contributing to this hackathon by drafting or revisi
ng a chapter will be credited with co-authorship of the relevant chapter.
