DESCRIPTION:We recently developed a task battery comprising 12 tablet-based
  tasks to assess the development of executive and semantic control abiliti
 es in children (4–10 years) and explore the relationship between these p
 rocesses. Preliminary data are promising: beyond addressing our research q
 uestion\, the battery shows potential to become a valuable tool for digita
 l cognitive testing\, which is currently lacking for cognitive control. To
  realize this potential\, we aim to establish its validity and reliability
 .\nWe seek expert input on optimal validation approaches for construct val
 idity assessment. Approaches we are considering are correlating task perfo
 rmance with the cross-culturally applicable Colored Progressive Matrices a
 nd Structural Equation Modeling. Additionally\, reliability and test-retes
 t stability will be assessed. In the long term\, we aim for cross-linguist
 ic validation.\nWe invite open discussion on best practices for validation
  and welcome collaborations (e.g.\, for multi-site replication) to ensure 
 robust and generalizable findings.
