DESCRIPTION:Researcher diversity remains a significant challenge in academi
a\, with minority scholars in both the Global North and Global South conti
nuing to be underrepresented. The exclusion of women and other marginalise
d groups within the Global South is further overlooked. Existing diversity
metrics\, such as using institutional affiliation as a proxy\, fail to ca
pture these disparities\, while API-based predictive tools like Genderize\
, Ageify\, and Nationalize can misclassify authors' gender or nationality\
, reinforcing existing biases. In this unconference\, we will examine the
limitations of current diversity measurement tools and methods. Are there
alternative\, more nuanced approaches for measuring researcher diversity i
n psychology? How can we develop metrics that truly reflect the diversity
of the global research community without oversimplifying representation? B
y unpacking these questions\, we aim to expand the conversation on authors
hip diversity and reimagine diversity data in ways that better support the
  academic pipeline for all scholars.
