You may have heard of FAIR data - findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable. But what does this mean in practice? You can save yourself hundreds of hours of work with consistent choices that make your data easier to understand and ready for software tools that help avoid errors and duplicated effort.
Psych-DS is like spellcheck for data: rules for organizing data files, with automatic tools for checking them. If you have a folder with one or more files of row-and-column data, you can use Psych-DS!
In this workshop, you'll use a Shiny app to (1) build a Psych-DS dataset, (2) check it for errors and, (3) use the power of Psych-DS to automatically create a data dictionary that documents your dataset for others (or for yourself in six months.)
Please bring a laptop/device with RStudio installed, but no R experience is necessary!
