We want to create a tool that helps psychologists assess research quality. This could be for their own purposes or to make decisions like what to include in a systematic review. To start this hackathon, we introduce two existing tools, the Risk of Bias 2 (RoB2) from clinical trials and Seaboat, a psychology checklist for study quality. Once attendees are up to speed, we will: 1. assess whether it is worthwhile to merge the two measures into a new/adapted tool that assesses risk of bias in psychology. If yes, 2a. We hack. If no, 2b. Figure out something more useful that would help psychologists assess factors such as risk of bias and/or research quality.

Please classify your session as the theme it fits best in:: Logistics/Tools - Content related to creation or refinement of new tools, databases, and methods What is your end product?:A tool that helps psychologists make decisions about risk of bias and/or research quality.
How will the session's content foster diversity & inclusion (e.g., who will present, who will it serve), and how will it improve psychological science?:"Quality" does not have a singular conception. Including diverse perspectives when creating a tool that seeks to help assess quality is essential. Without it, the tools will have narrow usefulness at best.
Please note any pre-requisite knowledge/expertise you will expect from attendees (i.e., is the session most appropriate for someone who already has experience with a topic?).:none
