Version 1.0.8 Sept. 8, 2024

We released a new schedule version! We wrongly sorted the last two lightning talk slots in the schedule, so this adapts the schedule to the times and names on the registration board.

We had to move some sessions, so if you were planning on seeing them, check their new dates or locations:

Version 1.0.7 Sept. 7, 2024

We released a new schedule version! Unfortunately, a session had to be cancelled, and another session was moved around to fill the empty slot. Version 1.0.0 Aug. 13, 2024

We released a new schedule version! We've now added the keynote on Friday. There are also some changes regarding workshops, one of them is held both on-site and online (at the same time, but by different speakers) and a workshop that we originally had scheduled as an online workshop will take place on-site. With that, the schedule should be final, but we still might have to move around some sessions in the coming weeks. Please note that the academic track, which is currently planned to take place on Sunday, has a separate schedule, so those talks are not included here.

We have new sessions!

We have moved a session around: “The worst and best of OpenStreetMap in Ghana (Africa)” by Enock Seth Nyamador (Online Workshops → Amboseli Hall)

Version 0.3.1 Aug. 8, 2024

We released a new schedule version! We've had to switch two talks and introduced a dedicated, 'virtual' room for the online workshops to make it easier to distinguish them from onsite workshops. We still might have to move around some sessions in the coming weeks. Please note that the academic track, which is currently planned to take place on Sunday, has a separate schedule, so those talks are not included here.

We had to move some sessions, so if you were planning on seeing them, check their new dates or locations:

Version 0.3.0 July 14, 2024

We released a new schedule version! This version adds the keynote on Saturday to the programme. It therefore is pretty much complete now, but we still might have to move around some sessions. The keynote on Friday should also follow soon., so stay tuned for the next schedule release! We have a new session: “Mapping Kenya: 15 Years of Map Kibera and beyond” by Erica Hagen, Joshua Ogure.

Version 0.2.0 July 1, 2024

We released a new schedule version! This version adds the last regular talk to the programme, it therefore is mostly complete now - but we still might have to move around some sessions. Version 0.1.0-beta3 June 16, 2024

We released a new schedule version! Unfortunately, we had to cancel two sessions (the one by Letwin and Kingsley Chika CHUKWU will be part of the academic track instead though), so we also had to move around some other sessions to fill the gaps. Please note that this is still a draft, we will likely have to move around some more talks (between time slots and rooms) and there's still a few gaps that need to be filled. Also note that the academic track, which is currently planned to take place on Sunday, has a separate schedule, so those talks are not included here.

Sadly, we had to cancel sessions:

  • “Analyzing the Spatial Distribution of Fuel Stations in Harare, Zimbabwe: Assessing Standard Construction Practices through Open Mapping for Hazard Zone Identification” by Kingsley Chika CHUKWU, Letwin
  • “Reducing Swiggy’s dependency on Google Maps with OSM” by Anushka Jain, Raghav Pawar, Ankit Gupta
