DESCRIPTION:With this study we aim to quantify the amount of mappable indo
or space in European cities. On this base we can assess the completeness o
f indoor data in OSM. We operate under the premise that only publicly acce
ssible spaces are relevant for inclusion in the OSM database. Thus\, we fi
rst identify candidate buildings based on building tag values and spatiall
y related amenities. We then employ values derived from Neufert design gui
delines to estimate the portion that is actually publicly accessible. The
method is tested with four European cities\, Pecs\, Dresden\, Budapest and
Berlin\, and verified at random with selected buildings.
