I've been working for the French gov for 10 years as a developer, launched multiple well know websites. Now working fully on cartes.app.

In Lyon's State of the Map France 2024, cartes.app was pitched : a French libre Web alternative to Google Maps built on OSM (among lots of free sources).
We're now proud to show the internationalised version of cartes.app. The interface is translated, the map place names too thanks to an automated full planet tiles generation, as well as the transport itineraries made available outside of France.
Lots of new features have landed apart from i18n, we'll demo them and talk about the future of the initiative.
