Originally from Spain, currently in Northern Ireland, Pablo is a freelance Software Engineer specialising in web applications with Ruby. During his career, he has taken part in a long list of projects for companies ranging from small music startups to large banking concerns. Currently he is fulfilling his dream of working as a developer of Open Source Software, as a Core Software Developer for the OpenStreetMap Foundation

Pardon our dust as OpenStreetMap’s core software projects undergo some renovations! Now a year into the core software roadmap that we debuted in Manila and Dundee, we’ll review some highlights from the past year in the openstreetmap-website project (the Web frontend and API), followed by a preview of things to come in the next several months. We’ll go beyond our monthly summaries on the forum to offer a look into the day-to-day experience of contributing to these projects and how it has improved over the past year.
