A low-cost RTK explorer for 10 years, I designed the GNSS base stations that are the majority of those used on the Centipede-RTK network. I primarily use the network when collecting photos for Panoramax.

Session
Centipede-RTK is a free and collaborative network for sharing open GNSS RTK data. This network enables you to obtain centimeter accuracy geolocation. Initiated in France in 2019, the project quickly spreads over Europe and the entire World.
OpenStreetMap (and Panoramax) contributors can take this opportunity to create more accurate, more detailed data.
During this workshop, you will use an RTK receiver (provided) by pairing it with your Android smartphone (not provided). You will install an « NTRIP client » app and set it up to access the Centipede-RTK caster. The NTRIP client will then supply the geolocation to your favorite mapping app. A short walk outside will enable you to check and appreciate the accuracy achieved.
The workshop will be held in french and english, by Stéphane PÉNEAU (developer of RTKBase software, which powers most of the Centipede-RTK bases) and his colleagues from Carto’Cité.
Prerequisite : you must have an Android phone on which you can install an "NTRIP client" app, such as Bluetooth GNSS.
