Publishing a map on a website can seem like a daunting task. It does not have to be! In this workshop you will learn everything you need to know to publish a map that uses OpenStreetMap on a website.
You will get an overview of all the concepts involved as well as the tools that are available to you (e.g. vector tiles, tile archive formats such as PMTiles, MapLibre styles, Maputnik). As a bonus, you will learn how you can create your own vector tiles from raw OSM data using Planetiler.
You will need a laptop for this workshop. This workshop is intended for beginners, but it helps if you are somewhat familiar with web technologies such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
