Let's deep-dive into accessibility-related tagging schemes – featuring a short demo of a11yScore's new beta release.
Being in its early stages, accessibility tagging on OSM is very wheelchair-centric and needs coordination for extensions.
In this workshop, we want to focus on:
- existing tags related to entrances, doors, stairs, ramps, and toilets
- missing tags related to blindness, visual and hearing impairment, learning disabilities, and neurodiversity.
Let's discuss the current state, possible improvements, and plan next steps together.
As part of the workshop, we shortly present our current project a11yScore, and give insights on how Sozialhelden e.V. uses OSM data to help cities monitor and fix accessibility issues.
