It's been another busy year for the development team working on the OpenStreetMap Website. We'll cover some changes you can see, some changes you might have missed, and some behind-the-scenes work laying the foundations for the future.
The openstreetmap-website project ( https://github.com/openstreetmap/openstreetmap-website ) is the code that powers both the OpenStreetMap website and the OpenStreetMap API. It is developed and maintained by a small team of volunteers, and is considered one of the OSMF's core systems.
Following on from a talk given at SotM-EU 2024, in this presentation we'll cover developments over the last fifteen months. We'll consider the hundreds of pull requests that have been opened and merged, and highlight some of the user-facing features along with the behind-the-scenes changes that make life easier for our developers. We'll also look at how you can get involved in the development work.
